Your Puppy has been on a High Quality Diet.  We start our Puppies on "Royal Canin" Puppy Starter at about 4 weeks of age.  They nibble with Mother at this time and start the changeover to solid food very well.  At five weeks plus, the weaning starts and by six weeks the Pups are on the food and Mother is relaxing.  From six to eight weeks of age we blend in "Royal Canin Mini Puppy 33".  This food is available at most Petco/PetSmart type stores.  You will receive a sample of this with your Puppy.

We require that you feed your Puppy a High Quality Food.  There are many foods available and If you prefer a different brand that has been proven to you in the Past, slowly mix it in with the Royal Canin Mini Puppy 33 and Puppy will do just fine.  Do this over a period of about two weeks for best results.  We don't want a feed changeover just as soon as Puppy arrives to your home.

Your Puppy has been eating about 3/4 to 1 cup of food per day.  Puppy's eating habits will change once in your Home. If Puppy gobbles, feed him a little more, if he leaves some, feed him a little less.  Puppy will adjust to its new Home and eating habits will be more stable.  If Puppy doesn't seem to want to eat at first in its new home, don't be alarmed. Puppy has a whole new world to explore and sometimes eating will have to come Later!
