We here at Parker Kennel strive to produce from our selected Adult Breeders, the best in quality of Welsh Terriers and Cockapoos. You will receive nothing less. We are responsible breeders and stand behind our Puppies that will become part of your home. We have Quality adults and Puppies and a Quality operation. Quality does cost and so does specializing within one or two breeds. We feel this is important as your next pet needs to come from a breeder whom is concentrating on one or two breeds and not offering a garden variety of available breeds or whatever is popular at the time.

What kind of Breeder are You? Hobby, Professional?
We are professional breeders, A breeder does not have to be large scale to be a professional. I tend to define professional in the terms of the science of animal husbandry
and not as just the monetary means. A kennel has to be a business also, thus all facets of the kennel operation have to be with the most up to date methods of sanitation, preventative medication, nutrition, housing and time. Remember "We Guarantee an Happy Healthy Puppy for You" to be able to say this and stand behind our Pups we MUST care for adults and Puppies in the best way. Your Puppy is not a Hobby or something we do just for fun. It is serious to us and is serious to you also.
I'm self employed part time as a machinist ,with my shop on our property, Natalie is a homemaker. We have the time to spend raising our dogs and Puppies the correct way. One of the most important parts of the equation is time, thus our Pups and adults really Love People and Your Puppy will transition from us to you very easily. If Natalie and I both worked outside the home, we would not have the proper time to spend with your Puppy to ensure this. Your next household member will never be a Hobby to us or something we do part time.
Natalie and I often travel to breeder seminars from clubs and hear lectures from visiting Vets etc. on new and improved methods of animal husbandry. Education is a very important of our program.
The "Puppy Mills", that you may read and hear about are a farce, these places do exist, as do sub-standard operations in most all of other businesses. These places are not producing quality puppies at all and are not self sustained. Thus low or no budget kennels will not invest in any of the above mentioned necessities to produce a Quality Puppy for you. There is the business side of having a Kennel. Many Animal activitists have tried to sell to the general public that all breeders of dogs are this way. They are lying to you.
Do you own your adult breeders, Parents of the Puppies?
Yes, Our adults were all raised up from Puppies that we have selected. They were acquired by us from other reputable breeders from the ages of eight weeks of age to 16 weeks of age. We feel that the best way to ensure that the breeders have the best in the characteristics that we are looking for is to raise them up from Pups. We have known them almost all of their lives. They are very used to us and the surroundings that they live in. Reproduction goes very smooth with this method.
We do not purchase adult dogs from dog auctions, breeders, or adult dogs at all. We believe the only way we can be truthful to you about the parents is to have raised them up from Puppies. We have raised other breeds than the Welsh Terrier and Cockapoo in the past. These two are our favorites and have decided to raise them only.
Where do your Adults, Puppies Live?
Parker Kennel has invested much time, effort, and money into the living arrangements
for our adults. Each Adult has its own Kennel Run. They are covered
cement runs that allow for correct sanitation methods. Remember the adult breeders have to be in excellent health at all times for the optimum in quality puppies for you. Nothing is done the cheap or slip-shod way. Each adult has its own house with a heat source for the cold weather, we have ceiling fans to help in the warmer months. Our adults have plenty of exercise and are out in the open air. Living the Dogs Life in a Dogs world!
When the mother is bred and half-way thru the term she is brought in to our whelping building. The mother in in a 7'x3'x3' wall mounted pen. This wall mounted pen is at chest level. She has ample room but at this time we do want to restrict extreme jumping and running as she would do in her outside run. The mother whelps, raises, and weans her pup in that pen. Temperature, humidity, and constant fresh air are all controlled in this building. These measurements all are a must for the health of the puppies raised.
Where do you Sell Your Puppies?
Natalie and I believe that the best place for you to purchase your Puppy is directly from
a reputable breeder. We do not sell to Pet Shops, Brokers or any re-seller. We care about our Pups and want to know where they are going.
